MasyaAllah lamanya tak dapat update blog kahwin sendiri. Bukan sehari dua, rasanya dah sebulan lebih tak update ni. Jadinya sebab ada masa terluang di kala weekend ni, mohla kita meng-update few major things as a reminder.
By the way bila kawan-kawan office tanya bila majlis baru tersedar yang opps dah tak lama rupanya.
Next week dah end of September so around 4months+ until the big day. Meh tengok sikit checklist kawen, agak-agak banyak lagi tak nak disettle kan? *nervous*
So far yang red color ni consider major tapi tak decide-decide (TBD) lagi. Banyak jugak kalau tengok from the list. :(

Berkat hari Jumaat lepas moi berjalan-jalan virtually untuk menghabiskan waktu lunch, tiba2 stumble upon Lady Verde's blog here ade iklan tentang tempah baju with designer with cheaper price. Terus excited terjah blog the designer itself. Siapa designer yang baik hati tu?

Its been a while since this blog updated. hmmphhh memang tak stick to original plan to blog once a week.
anyway, last weekend just got a sad news that the appointed caterer for my reception had to cancel on us because she already have booking on the date.
So now, moi back at square one and have to survey again for the reception caterer. Its ok, tak ada rezeki with that caterer (InsyaAllah ada hikmah tu). Alhamdulillah things are smooth on the other side (the groom's reception). The fiance never like to survey2 anything, he's the type that agree on whatever his mother or moi wants which is great for me hehe. A week before ramadhan, we went out to the pameran pengantin to look for his caterer because at that time moi already confirm the caterer for moi's side.
His mom practically mention that she not prefer Sri Angsana Catering but moi didn't ask for details why so we search for others caterer available during that exhibitions. Those that we survey were:

- Nurul Izzah Catering
Which caterer did we pick out of the list?
Salam ladies, its been a while since the last update. To be honest work has been really stressful these days. Rasa macam they're preparing me to go to war pulak. Almost everyday around 9/10pm then only reach home. Esoknya do the same routine. But I always believe Allah lead me to this road, why not I just enjoy every moments of it.
On the lighter side, there are some major changes with the wedding date. Initially we've planned to hold the event by end of this year, but moi dengan gatalnya ter-agree to go somewhere with friends and we opt for another option, March 2013. Why march? After further discussion with his mom, we agree that the wedding must be done on school holidays as the groom side mainly will be coming from s'pore and my sis have to travel all the way from kelantan. I need her to be around at least a week before and after the weds.
We call up few dewan in klang valley area, some of it were suggested by our family and some just randomly chosen after we attend wedding of our fellow friends. Here's the list we managed to consider calling and ask for the rate;
1) International Youth Center - RM1750 (if not mistaken) for 8 hours for hall only. I didn't ask how much they charge for aircond etc. But our date already taken.
2) Pusat Komuniti Bandar Tun Razak - The dewan is at 8th floor, the building itself next to lrt star bandar tun razak. Honestly I think for the price RM 1500 (hall only), the condition of the building, the elevator and with no proper parking area, it really not worth it.
3) Dewan Syabas, Taman Dagang, Ampang - his father went there to ask for info and booking, the price 1k++ but our date is full. My sister went for her in-law wedding here. She said the dewan itself is big and big changing room provided.
4) Dewan RISDA, Ampang - This dewan upgraded similar to dewan prima LJT where you pay per pax. The cheapest I think 40+ per pax all included.
Finally after much calling and stuff, both of us took leave on 1st June as you can start booking for next year event that day. Around 10+ we arrived at my chosen hall, we saw already have people leaving and the thing that we scared the most happens. The hall was booked on our chosen date ERK! We start calling our family to see what other option we have. After checking the hall booking and holidays date for next year, we decided to bring forward the wedding to Feb, during the CNY holiday. I felt sad tho as I know some of my colleagues will not able to attend but then we cannot control everything right? Alhamdulillah Allah bagi rezeki for me to book on that date.

Its Pusat Komuniti Bukit Bandaraya, Bangsar. Loving the ambiance and surrounding. My sis went for friend's wedding here and she's the one who spy for us :)
Anyway, I'm glad and syukur we secured the venue. Time to think for the theme and deco pulak.

Tengah termenung2 cari idea suddenly teringat yang moi pernah terbaca blog post from Vera Wang blog tentang 'wedding shoes'.
Quote: "Outdoor venues are gorgeous for that special day, but finding the right shoe may be a little tricky. I suggest staying away from stiletto heels, as they will sink in grass or sand. We recommend a shoe with a thicker heel, a platform or ballet flats."
Eventhough moi's wedding reception will be done in a hall, semua mantan bride mesti setuju salah satu perkara penting yang bride-2-be selalu terlepas pandang is the bride herself mestilah comfortable - baik in her dress dan jugak wedding shoes. Jadi bila difikir2kan banyak mana pon moi teringin nak design kasut yang gorgeous melampau, its better moi focus on keselesaan kaki sebab yelah majlis kahwin kan selalunya lama, tambah pulak pengantin nak bersalam2 jalan2 sekitar dewan jumpa tetamu. Oh tu belum lagi jalan2 untuk posing outdoor portraiture lepas kenduri kan?
The most comfortable shoes mestilah custom-made one kan? Sebab dah tentu2 akan ikut ukuran kaki kita sendiri. Moi tergolong dalam orang2 yang susah nak cari kasut sebab bentuk kaki yang tak berapa proportionate. Belah jari kaki extra lebar and length kaki yang tak tentu. Certain kasut moi boleh pakai saiz 8 but sometimes if kasut yang cutting nya kecik, moi hanya akan muat saiz 9 ye. Sebab tulah moi never buy kasut online. Nanti tak muat, hati siapa yang tak sentappp??
Thanks to Amy, now moi dah ade tempat nak custom made my solemnization and reception shoes (ye..kite share aje senang dan jimat, tak gitu?). Dengan adanya another shoe giveaway contest ni, boleh la moi verangan design macamane nak moi nak kan? Mane tau ade rezeki boleh menang GA ni =)
Design yang moi nak sangat senang, sebelum tu meh kita tengok board dari Pinterest moi yang memang specific untuk design2 kasut yang berkenan di hati
1) Colored Shoes – Checked.
Dari dulu memang berangan nak lari dari tradisi pengantin kena pakai kasut kaler putih. Moi takmo. Sebab sekarang kan fesyen sangat moden, you can be funky and flirty at the same time using colors and effect bila pengantin pakai white dress with colored shoes memang different. Angan2 nya the shoe color must be either dark purple, deep reed, hot pink atau pon bright orange. Sebelum ni emerald green masuk list jugak tapi memandangkan nak share je kasut and baju reception kaler gold jadinye out trus. Tak kena ok emerald green dengan gold dress.
2) Bow Accent – Checked
The shoes mesti nak ade bow accent. Bow memang tak lapuk dek zaman. Even most designer spring collection pon menggunakan bow. Sebab ianya sleek and chic. Lagi lah kalau dipadankan dengan material yang betul. Moi sebenarnya tak berapa prefer bow yang keras dekat depan kasut (no offence) jadi kita ganti dengan material yang more lembut macam satin or lace or tulle yang dibentuk jadi bow. Position bow pon moi tak kesah. Either depan (peep toe) or tepi buku lali kita.
3) Medium high,thicker heels, peep toe – Checked
Criteria yang ni boleh kata compulsory. Kenapa? Sebab moi ni berbadan gempal jadi heels tak boleh terlalu tinggi and halus coz nanti tak terbawak badan pengantin ni. Peep toe sebab yang moi cakap tadi, area jari kaki yang extra lebar from normal.
4) And last but not least, Jewel Embellishments – Checked
Just a simple ‘bling-bling’ yang boleh menaikkan lagi seri kasut. Kalau digabungkan dengan bow tadi mungkin bow boleh dibaluti dengan jewels (diamante/rhinestone) or pearls untuk extra ummmph gitu.
Overall betul tak moi kate simple? Just a simple 4 criteria yang moi rase memang menang dari segi design dan jugak keselesaan. Sometimes kan orang kata ‘The simpler the better’.
